"[Craig] McDean shot two models that day: Constance Jablonski, the blonde teenager from Lille whose brother wrote to a modeling agency that his sister was the most beautiful girl in France (They agreed), and China's Liu Wen, who entered a modeling competition in high school with no greater goal than winning the grand prize -- a laptop -- and has since become the biggest thing to come out of her country since Ziyi Zhang. Neither is American, but once the film came in, both were immediately chosen to represent what is perhaps the most thoroughly American brand."
